Life is Blooming

“Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much” -Helen Keller

It’s an oopsie time in the world, but flower power makes people smile and we can get through this together.

  • Yes, we are still open.
  • Yes, we are still delivering all over the Gold Coast with contact-free deliveries & calling prior to delivering.
  • Yes, our floral studio is open but with limited trading hours, and we are open for drive thru pick ups. But please call ahead to pre-arrange so we can have you flowers & goodies ready for collection.

Please also remember that we are very limited to deliveries & stock however, our variety of flowers are still fresh & pretty as always, but we are encouraging florist choice to let us design something stunning for you as we are unable to guarantee certain flowers during this uncertain time. If you choose something from our web we will do our best to replicate, but please understand it will be subject to availability.  We are also, still offering a wide range of house plants, gifts, flowers & sweeties to add to your order too!

P.S a special shout out to all the amazing staff at all of the hospitals. Doctors, nurses, staff you are working tireless hours to help save our people and we thank you for it.

Thank you all for your continued support during this oopsie time in our life, and remember…

Life will bloom again…

Love from Belinda & Bethany

Feeling special 🙂

A simple floral sheaf is a traditional way of giving flowers at funeral services, particularly for grave-side tributes.
sympathy flowers gold coast

In the past colours were usually pale and subdued, but these days bright flowers are also often selected, as a celebration of the person’s life. It’s really up to your own personal preference.
For other ideas on what to send see our shop page for sympathy.
Also, if you’re stuck on what to say in a sympathy message, we have some writing prompts here.

Have you seen our instagram? It’s awesome! Just kidding. Really though it is pretty nice. We post there more often than here, and it’s a good place to see what we are doing from day to day.

Why not connect with us there? If you are another local business we love to see what you are doing as well.

Floral delivery to Gold Coast areas

Adam’s Garden Florist has offered flower delivery across the Gold Coast since 1975. How’s that for awesome?

For a overview of exactly which suburbs we deliver to please see our list here. There’s not many places we don’t cover – though some further out suburbs do attract an extra fee (we have to pay our couriers appropriately, of course.)

simple sunflower bouquet gold coast delivery

If you know someone that needs a special bunch just ask us, we’ll do everything we can to help.

We are centrally located in Parkwood, adjacent to the suburbs of Southport, Arundel, Labrador and Molendinar. This is also near the Gold Coast University Hospital, Gold Coast Private Hospital and Griffiith University.

If you have received a bunch of flowers, giving them the proper care can ensure they last longer.

Getting the most out of your flowers:

– Re-cut 2-3cm of the bottom of the stem when you receive the flowers

– Put straight into water in a clean vase

– Change the water every 2 days at least. – You may want to re-cut the stems at this time as well to encourage them to drink, as the cells at the original cut will be loosing their efficiency by now.

– If you received floral preservative or ‘flower food’ with your flowers, be sure to add this

– Keep away from draughts and direct sun.

If you hadn’t heard, there’s a heat wave going on. Our roses wouldn’t know it – they are pampered pretties – transported in water and kept in the cool. But, we understand the heat might still put you off fresh red roses. So what other options are there?

Ideas for Valentine’s Day other than fresh roses:

If you’d still like to send flowers, why not lilies, orchids, mixed flowers, or native flowers?

If you’d still like something classic, why not a preserved red rose in a glass globe?

If you don’t mind plants, what about a plant with a funny card message like: ‘Aloe, is it me you’re looking for?’

(We know, it’s corny, but what can we say – it’s Valentine’s Day!)

Check our shop for more ideas

Or go with the classic red roses anyway. They say Tuesday will be a cooler day – hooray!

Hi all,

More green and white bouquets going off to an event at Broadbeach…

green and white bouquets

Don’t you just fall in love with the big, boofy white ones? These are one of our favourite blooms – polaris chrysanthemum disbud. The little green ones are also chrysanthemums – called green buttons. Love love.

From time to time we get requests for things that aren’t in season – this particular bride really wanted to have large, large peonies – which aren’t available until October usually, and they also would love hydrangea, which are traditionally best during the warmer months – so the solution, by request, is a bouquet mixing real and artificial flowers. Have a look at the result and see what you think:

We think it’s pretty lovely, and in the photographs it will look superb. Everything in the bouquet is fresh real flowers except for the peonies and hydrangea.

The trick is using quality silk flowers, and combing them with complimentary real flowers. Here the real flowers we have used are roses, freesias, lisianthus, green sim carnations, green hypericum, as well as some ming/retro fern and other foliage.

Adam’s Garden Florist is a locally owned and operated Gold Coast florist. We are a small floral studio in Parkwood where you can come and browse our fresh flowers and plant gifts, or if you need something delivered it’s easy – just phone us (55947774), or order though our online shop.

You can also find us on instagram (Follow us for pretty pictures! We’re fairly new at posting to instagram though, so do be forgiving… we promise not to post too much.)

Why choose Adam’s Garden Florist to be your Gold Coast florist?

Because we like what we do. If we didn’t we wouldn’t be here. We are also a ‘micro’ business, which means we’re very, very small, and that means our top priority is you, our customer.

Adam’s Garden Florist has also been on the Gold Coast since 1975, and has continually maintained a good reputation for reasonably priced, quality flowers.

Sometimes the most simple designs are the best – a lovely selection of fresh seasonal flowers in a glass vase makes a beautiful gift.

seasonal cut flowers in glass vase

This arrangement includes roses, disbuds, stock, oriental lilies, snap-dragons, carnations, and alstromeria, with a variety of foliage.

We try to always have a selection of curious plant gifts that you can pick up or have delivered on the Gold Coast, we try to choose ones that are hardy too – because we know how hard it is to keep plants alive in challenging environments, (like our air-conditioned, low-light shop… ).

pot belly fig in fabric

We have these pot-belly figs in fabric pouches from time to time. Check the shop to see what’s available, or pop in, we always have more in the store than on the website 🙂

Native flowers are available for most of the year, however they are particularly prolific over the cooler months, with summer being the time of least availability. Some varieties come and go over the year but there are usually some varieties of protea, banksia, luecadendron and gum.

native flower bouquet

We usually have native flowers available in the shop. Do phone us if you are after something specific.
